To solve the system of equations we need to use elimination. But to do that we are required to rewrite the equations in implicit form.

ax+by+c=0

So we have,

3x-y+3=0 \\ -2x-y+3=0

Then multiply the first equation by 2 on both sides and second equation by 3 on both sides. Resulting with,

6x-2y+6=0 \\ -6x-3y+9=0

Adding these two equations eliminates the first term in both since 6x - 6x = 0. Hence,

-5y+15=0\Longrightarrow y=3

Now that we know the value of y we can insert it in either one of the equations in the system. I'll pick first one to get x.

3=3x+3\Longrightarrow 3x=0\Longrightarrow x=0

So the solution to this system of equation are \boxed{x=0},\boxed{y=3}

Hope this helps.

Answer:

one solution (0, 3)

Step-by-step explanation:

The left sides of both equations are equal, so you can equate the right sides

3х + 3 = -2х + 3

3х + 2х = 3 - 3

5х = 0

х = 0

Put value of x in equation 1 to find value of y

y = 3x + 3 = 3*0 + 3 = 3

Тhe system of equations has one solution (0, 3)

Papessa [141]

Answer:

87.08% percentage of families spend more than $4000 annually on food and drink

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

average annual expenditure on food and drink for all families is $5700

Mean  (\nu) = 5700

standard deviation (\sigma ) = 1500

Let X be the no of families spend annually on food and drink

percentage of families spend more than $4000 annually on food and drink =

P(X > 4000)  = P(\frac{X - \nu }{\sigma }> \frac{ 4000 - 5700}{1500})

                      =  P(Z > - 1.13)     Using  (Z = \frac{X - \nu }{\sigma })

                      =  1 - P(Z

                      = 1 - .1292

                      = .8708

                       = 87.08%

A student played a computer game 500 time and won 370 of these games.
OLEGan [10]

Step-by-step explanation:

The no. won before=370

Total games played=500

No.of games played after=x

Total games won=x(since no games were lost)

Total games won=370+x

Total games played=500+x

Total percentage of win=75%

therefore

370+x/500+x=75/100

37000+100x=37500+75x

100x-75x=37500-37000

25x=500

x=20

therefore total match played after 500 matches=20

Nimfa-mama [501]

24 of the 30 students surveyed liked history.

24/30 = 0.8 = 80% of the students surveyed liked history.

Multiply total students by 80%

625 x 0.8 = 500

500 of the total students like history.
