The probability will be:

Case 1 matches with 5/48.

Case 2 matches with 1/12.

Case 3 matches with 1/4.

Case 4 matches with 1/8.

Case 5 matches with 5/16.

How to illustrate the probability?

We have a total sample space of six-sided die and an eight sided die.

(1,1),(1,2),(1,3),(1,4),(1,5),(1,6),(1,7),(1,8)

(2,1),(2,2),(2,3),(2,4),(2,5),(2,6),(2,7),(2,8)

(3,1),(3,2),(3,3),(3,4),(3,5),(3,6),(3,7),(3,8)

(4,1),(4,2),(4,3),(4,4),(4,5),(4,6),(4,7),(4,8)

(5,1),(5,2),(5,3),(5,4),(5,5),(5,6),(5,7),(5,8)

(6,1),(6,2),(6,3),(6,4),(6,5),(6,6),(6,7),(6,8)

Case 1: The Probability that both numbers are odd numbers and their product is greater than 10. are: (3,5),(3,7),(5,3),(5,5),(5,7)

And the total number of outcomes are: 48.

The required probability is 5/48.

Case 2: The probability that the second number is twice the first number are:

(1,2),(2,4),(3,6),(4,8)

And the total number of outcomes are 48.

So, the required probability is 1/12.

Case 3: The probability of a number whose sum is a multiple of 4 are:

(1,3),(1,7),(2,2),(2,6),(3,1),(3,5),(4,4),(4,8),(5,3),(5,7),(6,2),(6,6).

And the total number of outcomes are: 48.

The required probability is 12/48 = 1/4

Case 4: The probability that the sum of two numbers is greater than 11.

(4,8),(5,8),(6,7),(6,8),(5,7),(6,6)

And a total number of outcomes are 48.

So, the required probability is 6/48 = 1/8.

Case 5: The probability that the second number rolled is less than the first number are:

(2,1),(3,1),(3,2),(4,1),(4,2),(4,3),(5,1),(5,2),(5,3),(5,4),(6,1),(6,2),(6,3),(6,4),(6,5)

And the total number of outcomes are: 48.

The required probability is 15/48 = 5/16.

Explain why you can use subtraction to solve a division problem.
eduard
Subtraction is finding the difference between two numbers whereas division is putting numbers into equal pairs or undoing multiplication ( if that helps ) So... If they say divide 6 by 2 they mean put six into equal pairs of 2 which would equal 3 E.g.:- ( there are 3 pairs of six cars in twos ) You can't use subtraction because that will just find the number difference of 6 and 2 which is 4 Hope that wasn't complicated

Write 2 equivqlent fractions for 4/5
MaRussiya [10]
You can multiply the fraction by any number you want so the new fraction gonna be equivalent to your fraction like : (4 × 2)/(5 × 2) = 8/10 or (4 × 3) / ( 5×3) = 12/15 so 4/5 = 8/10 = 12/15 :))

Can you explain the difference between regular and irregular polygons? How is finding the area different? Be prepared to give an
zalisa [80]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The difference between regular and irregular polygons:

Regular polygons

1. All sides and all the interior angles of the regular polygon are equal.

2. Since, all the interior angles are less than 180°, therefore they are convex in nature.

Irregular polygons:

1.Either the sides are not congruent, or the interior angles are not congruent, or both the sides and the interior angles are not congruent.

2. Since, one or more of the interior angles are greater than 180°, therefore they may be either concave or convex.

Finding the area for both regular and irregular polygons is different.

In case of regular polygon, it is equilateral and equiangular, we use a segment that joins the polygon’s center to the midpoint of any side and that is perpendicular to that side(APOTHEM) to find the area that is:

Area=\frac{1}{2}{\times}perimeter{\times}apothem.

But, in case of irregular polygons, finding the area is quite difficult unless we know the coordinates of the vertices as each side and angle can be different.

Examples:

A square is a regular polygon.

A scalene triangle is an irregular polygon.
