To figure out how many revolutions Buddy goes in 1 minute, (60 seconds) we can use proportions

4 revolutions/11 seconds = x revolutions/60 seconds
When we cross multiply, (multiplying one numerator by the other denominator, and vice versa for the other numerator) we get
240 = 11x
divide both sides by 11 to get
21.81 = x
or 21 complete revolutions

Which shows a correct comparison? A: 5 milliliters > 50 liters B: 2 liters < 200 milliliters C: 100 liters < 1,000 mill
Angelina_Jolie [31]

Answer:

d

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that

> means greater than

< means less than

for example : 2 < 3 means 2 is less than 3

3 >2 means 3 is greater than 2

To determine which comparison is better we have to convert litre to millimetre

1 litre = 1000mm

A 5 mm > (50 x 1000)

5 mm > 50,000

5 is not greater than 50,000

B. (2 x 1000) < 200 mm

2000 < 200

2000 is not less than 200

C. (100 x 1000) < 1,000

100,000 < 1000

100,000 is not less than 1000

D. 3200 > (3 X 1000)

3200 > 3000

3200 is greater than 3000

Write a problem that can be solved by skip counting on a number line
BaLLatris [955]

Depending on where the counting starts, we can establish a set of odd numbers or even numbers.  If we start with odd numbers, skipping one every time gives a set of odd numbers, and so forth with even.

A square has a perimeter of 8 cm. What is its area?
serious [3.7K]
A square has four sides which all have the same length.

So if we call the length of each side of the square 'a'

The sum of length of all the sides (the perimeter) will be ,

a + a + a + a = 4a

Now let's equal this to the perimeter to find the length of each side 'a'

4a\quad =\quad 8\\ \\ a\quad =\quad \frac { 8 }{ 4 } \\ \\ a\quad =\quad 2

So the length of each side of the square is 2 cm

To find area of a square we multiply the length of its two sides

So,

a\cdot a is the area of the square,

a\cdot a=\quad 2\cdot 2\quad =\quad 4\\ \\ 4\quad c{ m }^{ 2 }

The answer :

\boxed { 4\quad c{ m }^{ 2 } }
