A person who sits for hours on a long airplane flight may have problems with blood pooling below the knees because the skeletal muscle pump below the knees is not helping blood return to the heart.

The skeletal muscle pump functions every time a muscle contracts. If a person is not moving for long hours, the muscles do not contract, and the blood pools in the lower extremities.

It can also affect blood circulation and which lead to the development of blood clots. Airplane flights of long hours or more may be a risk factor for deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, as these are serious complications of blood clots that may be fatal in some cases.

Hence, the answer was given and explained above.

love history [14]

Answer:

The correct answer is C: The way we conceptualize and define environmental problems is a key focus

Explanation:

From a constructionist perspective, how we actually experience the world plays a very important role in identifying environmental problems. The approach of constructionism acknowledges that a natural world that is independent of our constructions exists, but it also claims that the way we conceptualize and define environmental problems is mediated and pragmatically motivated.

Andre45 [30]

Answer:

A non-shared environmental influence

Explanation:

A non-shared environmental influence occurs when a child is not involved but the argument will psychologically affect the child's emotions, feelings, and behavior. It leads to stress and anxiety in a child who faces the fighting of their parents.

Non shared environment will affect the error of measurement.

Non shared environment influence is o negative in external affairs such as parents' abusive relationship. This relationship will badly affect the personality of a child.

Thus in the above explanation, Todd and his sibling's parents were emotionally abusive so when they fight they expect that Todd will take other siblings under his control and allow them to cry but just stay in the room with other children.
