Hi, there.

 _____

It depends on which two sides you're talking about. For instance, an isosceles triangle has two sides the same length, but the third side, the <em>base, </em>is the shortest of the three.

These two sides that have equal length are also <em>congruent </em>to each other.

Hope the explanation made sense to you,

happy studying!!!

side angle side (SAS) is the postulate because we can clearly see that two of the sides of the triangles are congruent (9 & 14), as well as the Q and T angle.

the perimeter is 43

6y+5=8y

y= 5/2

9+14+6(5/2)+5= 43

Solve for x:<br> x^2=a<br><br> If a&lt;0, then <br> If a=0, then<br> If a&gt;0, then
Anastaziya [24]

if a > 0, there are two possible solutions:

x^{2} = a\\\sqrt{x^{2} } = \sqrt{a} \\

the square root of a square is the base in absolute value bars

|x| = \sqrt{a}

x = -\sqrt{a} ; x = \sqrt{a}

if a = 0, that means x = 0. anything multiplied by 0 is 0

if a < 0, there are no solutions because anything squared has to be positive

An iPad for $480 and paid $31.20 in sales tax. What was the sales tax<br> rate?
Alborosie

Answer:

6.5%

Step-by-step explanation:

If you take 31.20 and divide it by 480, you get .065, which would then be converted into percentages by multiplying it by 100 (6.5%).
