Information about mosquito activity is in demand these days because more people are engaging in outdoor activities in metropolitan settings. Predicting mosquito activity is also essential for regulating human safety and health. High spatial and temporal variability, however, make it difficult to accurately predict mosquito abundances, which reduces the accuracy of general mechanistic models of mosquito abundances. It is required to create a more straightforward and lightweight mosquito abundance forecast model as a result. In this study, we evaluated the effectiveness of the artificial neural network (ANN), a well-liked empirical model, for predicting mosquito abundance.

The outcomes demonstrated that the ANN model and the MLR model's performances were nearly identical in terms of R and root mean square error (RMSE). In contrast to MLR, the ANN model was able to forecast the high variability. The ANN model's sensitivity analysis revealed that it adequately explained the relationships between the input variables and mosquito abundances. In conclusion, ANNs have the capacity to forecast changes in mosquito populations (especially the extreme values), and they can do so better than conventional statistical methods.

What is artificial neural network?

Computing systems inspired by the biological neural networks that make up animal brains are known as artificial neural networks (ANNs), also known as neural networks (NNs), or even more simply, neural nets.

What did not occur in the Proterozoic eon?
weeeeeb [17]

Answer:

C. Multi-celled eukaryotic organisms began to diversify

Explanation:

The Proterozoic is an eon in which numerous important things occurred. There were multiple organisms that appeared in this eon. They were able to perform the process of photosynthesis which resulted in gradual pilling up of oxygen into the atmosphere, thus changing the composition of the atmosphere, and setting up the terrain for the future development of other organisms. It is an eon though in which there were only single-celled organisms, while the diversification of multi-celled eukaryotic organisms occurred in the next eon, the Phanerozoic.

What are the ways oxygen is transported in the blood, ranked according to the way that is responsible for the majority of transp
lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

f. 1- Hb; 2- dissolved in plasma

Explanation:

Transport of oxygen in the body occurs in two way; oxygen bound to hemoglobin and oxygen dissolved in plasma.

1. Bound to hemoglobin :

Hemoglobin, or Hb, is a protein molecule found in red blood cells and is responsible for the colour of red blood cells. It is composed of four subunits of two types of the protein globin: two alpha subunits and two beta subunits. Each subunit surrounds a central heme group (red in color) that can bind one oxygen molecule. Therefore, each hemoglobin molecule can bind and transport four oxygen molecules. About 98.5% of oxygen is transported in the body bound to hemoglobin.

2. Oxygen is only fairly soluble in blood plasma. As a result, only 1.5 percent of oxygen in the blood is dissolved and transported in blood plasma.

Q3. How does the fact that DNA Replicates semiconservatively decrease the
LuckyWell [14K]
If the DNA polymerase did nothing special when a mispairing occurred between an incoming deoxyribonucleoside triphosphate and the DNA template, the wrong nucleotide would often be incorporated into the new DNA chain, producing frequent mutations. The high fidelity of DNA replication, however, depends not only on complementary base-pairing but also on several “proofreading” mechanisms that act sequentially to correct any initial mispairing that might have occurred.
