In particular, "snake story" Becky would not find the following to be a real treat:

She said proudly, "Not poisonous. She took back the book and walked over to her closet, saying, "It's an oak snake, Louie." Although not poisonous, I still won't take any chances.

This made it obvious that the snake was not dangerous and helped to explain it. However, we do recognize that the snake may have been; however, there was one indication from her little snake book that somehow this snake was not.

We must keep in mind that while Becky dealt with reptiles, she was more afraid of snakes in this situation. She wouldn't take any risks at all because of this. This would be an example of a snake that was not dangerous in any case.
