<h3>What is a Social Realism?</h3>

This refers to the artworks produced by painters, print-makers, photographers, writers and filmmakers that aims to draw attention to the real conditions of the working class as a means to critique the power structures behind these conditions.

This art movement is most associated with the era of the Great Depression in the US which depicted the everyday realities of lifesuch as the critical condition of the social, economic and racial matters that made life challenging for the working classes and poor.

The artists of the Social realist tried to show people and their lives in a realistic way which means that they often show things which are not beautiful or attractive.

Hence, it is defined as the art movement whose artists focused solely on everyday conditions of the working class.
