One characteristic of Victorian life in "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" would be science. Throughout the story it is present that Dr. Jekyll is a scientist and does many experiments. Since this is set in the Victorian era, this is when the advancements of science and medicine began to take place. During this time, many people questioned religion and science. Many people wanted to prove the world around them, so many turned to science.

Robert Louis Stevenson's Gothic novella The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was first published in 1886. The work is also known as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, or simply Jekyll and Hyde.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is divided into ten chapters, each with its own title. Stevenson has created chapter titles that summarize the content of the chapter, making it easier for the reader to navigate the text.
