From glucose 2 ATPs are produced.

ATP:

  • One glucose molecule is divided into two pyruvate molecules during glycolysis, requiring two ATP molecules while generating four ATP molecules and two NADH molecules.
  • For the cell to utilize as energy, glycolysis results in a net gain of two pyruvate molecules, two ATP molecules, and two NADH molecules.
  • Glucose breaks down into pyruvate and energy during glycoses
  • From glucose 6- phosphate to lactate 3 ATPs are produced.
  • 4 ATPs are generated from which one is utilized when fructose 6 phosphate is converted to fructose 1, 6- bisphosphate. So the net yield is 3ATP.

From dihydroxyacetone phosphate 2 ATPs are produced.

As the cycle occurs only once either from DHAP or PGAL (glyceraldehyde $3-$ phosphate)

Three irreversible reactions of glycolysis:

Hexokinase

Glucose + ATP$\rightarrow$ Glucose-6-phosphate + ADP

Phosphofructokinase-I

Fructose-6-phosphate + ATP $\rightarrow$ Fructose-1, 6-bisphosphate $+$ ADP

Pyruvate kinase

$\mathrm{PEP}+\mathrm{ADP} \rightarrow$  Pyruvate $+$ ATP

What is mitosis and it's phases<br><br>
Elenna [48]

Answer: There are four stages of mitosis: prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.1) Prophase: chromatin into chromosomes, the nuclear envelope break down, chromosomes attach to spindle fibres by their centromeres 2) Metaphase: chromosomes line up along the metaphase plate (centre of the cell) 3) Anaphase: sister chromatids are pulled to opposite poles of the cell 4) Telophase: nuclear envelope reforms, chromosomes unfold into chromatin, cytokinesis can begin The order of the stages of mitosis can be remembered using the mnemonic PMAT.
