Answer:

B. 400 kPa

Explanation:

the pressure increases, when the temperature increases. and it increases, when the volume decreases.

both cases happen here, each with the factor 2.

so, the pressure increases by the factor 2×2 = 4.

4×100 = 400 kPa

Explain how an atom is composed of charged particles yet can have an overall charge of zero.
Marina CMI [18]
Atoms have an overall charge of zero because the charge of the electron is canceled by a proton and a neutron has a net charge of 0.If you were to take out an electron, you will create an ion(ion is an atom with a charge). This ion will have a charge because it now has different amount of electrons and protons.

The oxidation of magnesium to form magnesium oxide is shown by which balanced chemical equation?
il63 [147K]

magnesium oxide is: MgO (right side)

so the left side is: Mg + O2

for the equation to be balanced there must be two oxygens on both sides

Mg + O2 = 2MgO

but now the magnesium is uneven, so there must be two magnesiums on each side

the answer is: B) 2Mg + O2 = 2MgO
