They are fatty acids. Prostaglandins are the group of physiologically active lipid compounds called eicosanoids which having diverse hormones like effects in animals.

They are unsaturated fatty acids that contains cyclopentane ring and drives from 20-carbon , poly-saturated fatty acid precursor arachidnoic acid.During pain there are high concentration can causes by direct action upon nerve endings.

The estrogen based food is consume, the more likely uterine lining become abnormally thick. They play very important role in generation of the inflammatory response. Prostanglandins biosynthesis is significantly increased in inflamed tissue and they contribute to the development of cardinal of acute inflammation.
