Hello there! In 1845, an American reporter wrote an article claiming that American expansion was ordained by God and that it should spread from coast to coast.

Manifest Destiny was an ideology developed and spread during the presidency of James K. Polk from 1845 to 1849. The reporter who supported this ideology was John O’Sullivan, who stated that God ordained Americans to spread their territory across all of America. This was often brought up during fights for confiscation of land, too, such as the Indian Removal Act. In the same way that the Indians were removed from their homes, lots of citizens and natives of the U.S. were forced to reside elsewhere. Manifest Destiny stated that American expansion should go from coast to coast. If you need any additional help, let me know and I will gladly assist you.
