Answer:

After he was stricken with polio, Roosevelt began visiting the therapeutic waters of Warm Springs in the mid-1920s to strengthen his paralyzed legs. He established the Warm Springs Foundation (later the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation), and he became actively involved in the local community. Through Warm Springs, Roosevelt began to study the connections between Georgia's difficult agricultural conditions and its social and educational problems. His New Deal programs, begun immediately upon his inauguration in 1933 and aimed first at economic recovery, would ultimately address the nation's and Georgia's social conditions as well.

Why was there a lot of tension in the annex between the jews in hiding
Leno4ka [110]

The annex where Anne Frank, her family, and many other Jews hiding with them often had tension because everyone had different ideas on what they should all do, as the Germans were already in Holland, so some in the annex had opted for contingency plans. Was Buchanan’s victory a landslide
VashaNatasha [74]

Answer:

No, Buchanan's victory was not a landslide one.

Explanation:

James Buchanan was the 15th President of the United States, elected on November 4, 1856. In that election he defeated John C. Fremont, of the Republican Party, and Millard Fillmore, of the Know Nothing Party.

In the popular vote, he obtained 45.28% of the votes, compared to 33.11% for Fremont and 21.54% for Fillmore. He obtained a greater distance in the electoral vote, but in no way was it a huge difference, but rather a fairly balanced electoral contest between the different participating forces. Therefore, in no way can it be said that his triumph was a landslide victory.
