No the good of Westward Expansion cannot be said to outweigh its bad.

What was the westward expansion?

In the 19th century, the westward expansion was the term used to describe the movement of settlers, farmers and other persons down west of America. These areas were already occupied by the original owners. They were pushed out of their lands and it was taken over by the settlers.

This is the major reason why the expansion can be said to be bad. The fact that they took over areas that belonged to others forcefully.

The settlers took the places where the natives lived and farmed. Thy did this and set up their own ranches and economy in the areas that others once owned. Then the homestead act also gave them the rights to own the properties. All of these are the reasons why i do not consider this expansion as good. I see it as unfair and cruel.

2 and 4 are outlined in the passage as contributions of Marshall. As Secretary of State he assisted in the creation of the NATO treaty and economic programs to prop up European countries following WWI. It then can be argued that due to the economic programs offered by NATO and the Marshall Plan that Marshall also helped to prevent communism from spreading to economically fragile countries. The help of strong western nations also blocked the USSR's ability to assist and spread their doctrine.

Describe all four Native American responses to the Indian removal act of 1830. Who successfully fought the act and how did they
Liula [17]

Answer:

The Indian Removal Act was signed into law on May 28, 1830, by United States President Andrew Jackson. The law authorized the president to negotiate with southern Native American tribes for their removal to federal territory west of the Mississippi River in exchange for white settlement of their ancestral lands.[1][2][3] The act has been referred to as a unitary act of systematic genocide, because it discriminated against an ethnic group in so far as to make certain the death of vast numbers of its population.[4] The Act was signed by Andrew Jackson and it was strongly enforced under his administration and that of Martin Van Buren, which extended until 1841.[5]
