Kenji seemed to forget that he was abused by a family member when he was very young. When he later remembered that he was the victim of this abuse, he uncovered what psychologists call a Repressed Memory.

How does the brain remember that it has forgotten something?

Remembering happens during retrieval, when our brains are able to recreate the neural activity that occurred during encoding. Forgetting is usually caused by an error in retrieval and can be affected by emotions or stress

What part of the brain is responsible for memory?

Hippocampus. The hippocampus, located in the brain's temporal lobe, is where episodic memories are formed and indexed for later access.

Repressed memory :

is a controversial, and largely scientifically discredited, claim that memories for traumatic events may be stored in the unconscious mind and blocked from normal conscious recall.

What causes repressed memory?

Scientists believe suppressed memories are created by a process called state-dependent learning. When the brain creates memories in a certain mood or state, particularly of stress or trauma, those memories become inaccessible in a normal state of consciousness.

Sieburg and Larson describe confirming and disconfirming responses as responses that can positively(confirming response) or negatively(disconfirming response) affect a person's self worth.

The above is a tangential response which is a type of disconfirming response that initially starts out responding to a person's statements but then changes the topic, expressed in, "...but I'm really worried about getting this meeting over with".

A psychologist develops a questionnaire designed to study the variable of self-esteem. He then conducts a number of studies inve
kramer

Answer: Construct validity

Explanation:

Construct validity is the degree to which a test is done to measure what it claims. Construct validity defines how well the test or experiment actually measures its claims and whether the operational definition of the variable reflect the true theoretical meaning of the concept being illustrated.

The psychologist develops a questionnaire that is designed to study the variable of self-esteem and then conducts different studies to investigate the differences between people who had low scores on sled esteem and the people who had high score on self esteem. The reason for this was to get an accurate method of measuring self esteem. This means the psychologist wants to establish construct validity.

Research on gender commonalities and differences suggests that:
Bond [772]

I believe the answer is:

women express their feelings verbally more than men do,

while men tend to prefer to keep the emotions at bay or express it througb non-verbal actions.

women and men show only a few differences in sexual attitudes and behavior.

Generally, men and women enjoy sex equally. Few differences could be said on female mate selection that put status in society as a more crucial factors compared to men on average.

there is very little difference in the way that men and women provide support.

Instinctually, humans would give words or encouragement or by intimate touch (hugs or kisses) to provide support.
