Erikson's fourth stage of identity typically occurs between the ages of 7-13 and involves industry vs. inferiority. When a child successfully navigates this stage, they develop competency. Competency becomes a big part of confidence as we develop in life and plays a strong role in the next stage of identity.

According to Erikson’s theory, people progress through a series of stages as they develop and grow. Unlike many other developmental theories, Erikson’s addresses changes that occur across the entire lifespan, from birth to death.

During the industry versus inferiority stage, children become capable of performing increasingly complex tasks. As a result, they strive to master new skills.

Norma-Jean [14]

The correct answer is C) emphasize the need for the elderly to adjust to existing societal conditions rather than participate in changing them.

Critics of functionalist theories of aging argue that these theories emphasize the need for the elderly to adjust to existing societal conditions rather than participate in changing them.

When talking about the functional theories of aging we have to consider the Disengagement Theory that says that is normal and understandable that elderly people want to stay away from society and social relationships when they are aging.

On the other hand, teh Activity Theory states that older people could actively age engaging in social life activities to increase their satisfaction although they are considered old.

And the Continuity Theory states that the elderly are able to maintain similar levels of activities as they had in the past.

Communism primarily relies on a system of ________.
kipiarov [429]
The answer is primarily relies on government controlled economic activity. Communism is the philosophical, social, political and economic ideology and movement whose ultimate goal is the formation of the communist society, which is a socioeconomic order structured upon the shared ownership of the means of production and the nonexistence of social classes, money and the state.

Communism includes a variety of schools of thought, which generally contain anarchism, Marxism, and the political ideologies gathered around both. All of these share the analysis that the present order of society stems from its economic system, capitalism; that in this system there are two major social classes: the working class and the capitalist class.
