The description of the Cyclops based on the description shows him to be a savage. The description states that the Cyclops is "without a law to bless them". He also says that the Cyclops do not tend to their crops, have no community, and abuse their wife and children. This disgust in the Cyclops ways shows that the values of Odysseus and the ancient Greeks are quiet the opposite of how the Cyclops live.
