The story exists told by the six-year-old Jean Louis Finch nicknamed Scout who lives with his elder brother Jeremy nicknamed Jem and his father, a middle-aged lawyer. The community recognizes Atticus as an honorable person. In this thing, they are pretty much united but they stand divided about Tom Robinson's trial.

The novel brings place in Maycomb, an imaginary town in Alabama. This town exists a very stereotypical town of its time; the plot and characters are heavily established on Lee's adventures in her hometown. The novel exists told by Scout, a six-year-old girl who lives with her father and brother. Overall, the town stands represented as being overall united and ideal. However, the trial of Tom Robinson separates the town. Townsfolk begin to turn on each other as the trial comes to the knowledge of the town. Various people have diverse opinions about the trial. The main divide exists between the black and the white townsfolk. The black townspeople exist on Tom's side while the whites are against him. The peaceful unity of the town exists destroyed as this trial and the truths come to light. Through the novel, the community reaches unity and division.

Which principal part of the verb best completes this sentence? I confessed that I had __________ all the leftovers.
nalin [4]
Sometimes, reading things out loud can help a lot.  "I had eat all the leftovers."  Does that sound right?  How about "I had eating all the leftovers," or "I had ate all the leftovers"?  What about "I had eaten all the leftovers"?

If this doesn't work for you, think of it like this: you must always use the PAST PARTICIPLE after a form of the word "have."  For example, "I had given you the present."  Which of your options is most similar?  Most likely, the answer is "eaten": "I confessed that I had eaten all the leftovers."

Answer: B. Eaten

"Hiking through these mountain ranges is very challenging." The active verb is "is". There is also a gerund, "hiking" which serves as the subject of the sentence. The subject clause is "Hiking through these mountain ranges", so even though "hiking" is a verb form, a gerund, it is not the verb in this sentence; it is part of the subject clause.

The rest of the passage contains other types of verb clauses, so you need to study those until you understand them! (:

I would say that the word that definitely symbolizes youth in this poem titled "Wild Asters" by Sara Teasdale is spring, because it represents an early time at the beginning of the year.
However, if you can choose multiple answers, I would also say daisies.
