Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line is the type of intravenous line which the nurse would choose for the norepinephrine intravenous infusion.

<h3>What is Norepinephrine?</h3>

This chemical is released by the adrenal glands in the body and acts as both a stress hormone and neurotransmitter.

Norepinephrine is referred to as a vesicant and can cause tissue necrosis in individuals when it infiltrates into the subcutaneous tissues. The best way is to infuse it through a central line so to prevent this type of complication.

This is therefore the reason why PICC line was chosen as the most appropriate choice.

gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

Because for whatever reason, some women feel that they need to become as skinny as a pencil to be noticed. That, mixed with the uncertainty and hormonal unbalances of puberty, and they'll literally run themselves into the ground trying to reach the unattainable standard for beauty that society (mainly men) have set.

Debora [2.8K]

Answer:

ICD-10-CM (Clinical Modification)  are codes used to describe the primary diagnosis of a patient

CPT codes are the billing codes used for getting payment from insurance companies

Explanation:

ICD is the international standard for reporting diseases and health conditions including monitoring of disease. ICD-10 is the the 10th edition.

As explained above, ICD-10 codes describe the main/primary diagnosis this is followed by the CPT/billing code which describes how insurance companies should pay for said primary condition - making them dependent.

Modifiers are then used to give more information about the ICD-10 codes or adjust care descriptions, they provide extra details concerning a procedure or service provided by a doctor. They also help further describe a procedure code without changing its definition
