In a standard fear-conditioning experiment, the subject is presented with an auditory conditional stimulus.

What is fear conditioning test?

The contextual and cued fear conditioning test is one of the most widely used paradigms to assess learning and memory.

This test is a form of Pavlovian conditioning in which an association is made between a context and/or a conditioned stimulus (auditory cue) and an aversive stimulus (electric footshock).

What is an example of fear conditioning?

Fear Conditioning Examples

In typical fear conditioning studies, a rat or rodent is not presented with the aversive stimulus in the home cage.

The animal is then placed in a novel environment, provided aversive stimuli, e.g. mild electrical shock in the foot, and subsequently removed.

Write a detailed entry about racial inequality
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

Explanation:

racial inequality is not necessarily the same thing as racism, though the two do often go hand in hand. Perhaps it would be fair to say that racism is defined by a prejudice towards a group of people based on their race or ethnicity, and racial inequality is the result of that prejudice. For example, while it would be hard to point towards the racism of any one individual to account for the disparity between wealth in white families, and wealth in black families, it is nevertheless certainly an example of racial inequality. The fact that average black people have less money than white people is very plainly a result of lack of opportunity.

After all, we know quite plainly that while western culture (particularly the United States) values the “pull yourself up by the bootstraps narrative”, it is ultimately usually generational wealth that wins the day.

The racial inequality, in this case, is a result of the fact that African Americans started as slaves in this country, and then suffered through Jim Crowe laws, and other circumstance that contributed to a difficulty in establishing a foothold in prosperous circumstance.

It is important to note that situations of racial inequality do not necessarily pertain to every member of a given race. For example, not all African Americans struggle economically, and not all Caucasians prosper financially. In fact, there are countless examples of each case where the exact opposite is true. When people refer to racial inequality, they are talking about patterns that all too often manifest themselves in our society.

How do a poem and a speech use language to achieve their goals?
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

it is a subjective art form that affords its authors the right to express themselves in ways both classical and innovative. Poems do not have to rhyme, neither do they have to follow any special structure or include any precise style. Still, most poems do emphasize a few key characteristics. These are stylistic choices that can diversify from piece to piece but must nevertheless be made by every poet. Figures of speech, or figurative language, are ways of describing or explaining things in a non-literal or non-traditional way. Imagery is something ferroconcrete, like a sight, smell or taste. The imagery depicts what the poet sees, hears or otherwise senses, be it a literal image or one that exists in his mind. Visual imagery, which describes what the poet sees, is the most common type of image in poetry. It creates a picture that the reader or audience can see in his mind. The punctuation and composition of the poem deal with how it is systematized on the page and how the author signifies for you to read it.
