Akrotiri was buried in a thick layer of pumice and ash around 1600 BCE after a terrible earthquake and subsequent volcanic eruption, which led to the exceptional preservation of paintings, like the Akrotiri Boxer Fresco, from several structures all across the town.

One of the Wall Paintings of Thera and a prime example of Minoan art is the 1967-discovered Akrotiri Boxer Fresco. It is a fresco from the Bronze Age, which began around 1700 BCE, and shows two young boys fighting while wearing boxing gloves and belts.

Together with the Antelope Fresco, this unique fresco was discovered in room B1 of Building Beta. The lads are young, as indicated by their heads and stray locks, and their gender is obvious from their deeper skin tones. With the exception of a belt, the youngster on the right, while the boy on the left is wearing jewelry, which is most likely a sign of greater rank. Smooth lime plaster was placed on the walls before being painted over to produce the bright frescoes that can be seen today. It's unclear whether the game was a contest or just a regular sport.

List the three major differences between the North and the South that helped lead to the Civil War
Snezhnost [94]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The three major differences between the North and the South that helped lead to the Civil War were the following.

1.- Northern states did not support slavery. Southern states authorized slavery.

2.- The economy of the northern states was much more industrialized. The North had large factories and fabrics in many states. These allowed them to produce more and better goods and better prices, including weapons and supplies. On the other hand, the South absolutely depended on agriculture and on slaves that worked long hours to produce the crops needed for trade and that were exported to Europe.
