A major difference between the Christian church in western Europe versus eastern Europe in the period 500-1000 was B The church in western Europe was the main source of stability and order while in the East the church was part of a robust Byzantine government.

How did the Church in the West differ from the Church in the East?

After the Fall of Rome, the Church in the West was seen as a bacon of stability in a Europe that was divided in various nations and tribes who were constantly fighting each other and therefore causing all sorts of hardships for the people who lived there.

What problem was facing the people of Rome?
uysha [10]

Answer: Lack of Influence by the government.

Explanation: During the mid, to end of the Roman Empire, the government was filled with corrupt, dishonest, and weak politicians. The Emperor's were push-overs from the Praetorian Guard, and the Senators too, were scared of the Praetorian Guard. Even after the abolishment of the Praetorian Guard, the Emperor's and Senate kept seeing losses within their territory, and it ultimately caused people to lose faith within their government.

How did common sense cause tension in the colonies?
Gala2k [10]
Common Sense is a pamphlet that was written by Thomas Paine; one of the Founding Fathers of the Declaration of Independence as well as a writer and philosopher. Common Sense discussed the government in Britain and how the King himself was a tyranny to the colonists. The Parliament was not to be blamed, but the King himself who could make all the decisions. Common Sense encouraged colonists to rebel against the King and Britain in order to gain their independence instead of following orders by Britain. Basically, he swayed the public opinion to think for themselves and not to be under control of the King.
