Delinquency- increased segregation of African-American and Hispanic children in alienated neighborhoods leads to criminal tendencies.

Substance abuse- minimal involvement into the lives of teenagers causes teenagers to choose wrong paths.

Teen pregnancy- lack of care and support from parental figures are reasons behind teenage pregnancy in America.

School failure- they point out that school system fails to cater to the needs of the students resulting in significant number of dropouts every year.
