The pharmacological action the nurse can expect with the therapy with the client taking methylprednisolone is suppression of airway mucus production.

Corticosteroids such as methylprednisolone suppress airway mucus production.

Methylprednisolone is generally used to treat conditions such as  arthritis, blood disorders, severe allergic reactions, certain cancers, eye conditions etc. A few side effects of taking methylprednisolone include headache, insomnia, vomiting, restlessness.

A few such effective drugs to suppress airway inflammation are corticosteroid which include methylprednisolone.

Inhaled corticosteroids are the most effective medications you can take to reduce airway swelling and mucus production. The benefits of using these medicines include: Fewer symptoms and asthma flare-ups.
