The given responses should be classified as follows by using these scale of measurements:

 1. Interval scale: Lily's travel time from her dorm to the student union at a University.
 2. Interval scale: Number of cars in a parking lot.
 3. Nominal scale: Whether one is a USA citizen.
 4. Ordinal scale: Amount of time one spend per week on your homework.

What is a scale of measurement?

A scale of measurement can be defined as a classification which is used to illustrate the attributes of the values that are assigned to variables associated with a data set.

The scales of measurement.

Generally, there are four (4) basic scale of measurement for a variable and these include the following;

 1. Interval scale
 2. Ratio scale
 3. Ordinal scale
 4. Nominal scale

Why do translations produce parallel lines
pav-90 [236]

Answer:The distance between the lines stays constant, and they never intersect. In other words, you can translate (move) either line by that constant distance, in some direction, to get the other line. It's just like how when you change the y-intercept but keep the slope the same, you get parallel lines.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hope this helps ツ

How many three-digit numbers may be formed using elements from the set {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7} if no element may be used more t
PSYCHO15rus [73]

Answer: 90

Step-by-step explanation:

set: {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7} = 7 numbers | 3 even

no element may be used more than once in a number = distinct elements

and the number must be even = must finish with a even number.

This way, we should start with the last number, which we have 3 possibilities.

Since we have 7 numbers in total, we have 6 options for the first one and then 5 options for the second one.

So, we have 6.5.3 = 90

What is the area of the rectangle shown on the coordinate plane? Enter your answer in the box. Do not round at any steps. units²
Goshia [24]

Answer: 42 square units

Check out the attached images below. In figure 1, I plotted the four points given as A, B, C, D; then connected them to form a rectangle.

Figure 2 shows 4 more points E, F, G, H made so that a larger rectangle forms. This newer larger rectangle entirely encloses the first rectangle. The idea is to find the area of the larger rectangle, and subtract off the areas of the four triangular pieces shown in figure 3. These images are attached below.

area of rectangle EFGH = base*height = 10*10 = 100

area of triangle ABE = base*height/2 = 3*3/2 = 4.5

area of triangle ADH = base*height/2 = 7*7/2 = 24.5

area of triangle CGD = base*height/2 = 3*3/2 = 4.5

area of triangle FCB = base*height/2 = 7*7/2 = 24.5

the four triangles have areas that add up to 4.5+24.5+4.5+24.5 = 58

Subtract this from the area of rectangle EFGH to get 100-58 = 42

----------

alternatively, you can find the distance from A to B getting roughly 4.24264 (use the distance formula). The distance from B to C is roughly 9.89949

Multiply those two values: 4.24264 * 9.89949 = 41.9999722536 which rounds to 42. There's rounding error based on the fact that the previously mentioned decimal values are approximate.

Which of the following could be a slant cross section of a right cone?
uysha [10]
C as the bass is flat and the two sides are straight so no curved edges ruling out all other options and definitely not A as a cross section is 2d
