The monumental struggle between good and evil, what it means to be human, and the consequences of pride are all examples of recurring themes in fantastic literature.

Because pride is an emotional reaction or attitude toward anything that has a close personal connection to the human feeling proud of it. According to Oxford, it is "the trait of possessing an exaggerated sense of one's own significance."

A sense of great satisfaction or joy, pride can be acquired from one's own accomplishments, the accomplishments of individuals with whom one has a strong relationship, or from traits or possessions that are highly regarded.

Pride is frequently fueled by low self-esteem and shame. We feel so inferior that in order to feel better about ourselves, we feel superior. To cover up our own shortcomings, we seek out those of other human. In order to avoid admitting our own faults, we like condemning other human.

enyata [817]

Answer:

Flies do not like its smell.

Explanation:

In the passage from "Fever 1793," the author Laurie Halse Anderson makes reference to the native African asparagus grass, which is used by Eliza and the narrator to prevent flies to come into the kitchen. In fact, the narrator says "That should discourage the flies." In that respect, flies are intimidated by the plant, which contains flowers and thorns, as well as small, red, toxic berries.
