A t-account has space at the top for the account title and two sides for recording debit and credit to the account.

What is the principle of double entry?

The principle of double entry which is used for t-account is that every debit entry has a corresponding credit entry, in essence, the t-account would have two sides for recording debit and credit entries to the account.

For instance, a sales revenue for cash would be debited to cash account, the debit side of cash t-account and credited to the sales revenue account, the credit side of sales t-account

Ralph’s Hardware updated its accounting system and agreed to purchase a computer system from a manufacturer, Bits and Bytes (BB)
Andrej [43]
Given:
Fact 1: During contract negotiations, BB’s sales representative promised that the system was “A-1” and “perfect.”
Fact 2: The written contract, which the parties later signed, disclaimed all warranties, express and implied.
Fact 3: After installation the computer produced only random numbers and letters, rather than the desired accounting information

The express warranty is given in Fact 1 where the Sales Rep promised that the system was "A-1" and "perfect". There is a breach in express warranty here IF the written contract also expresses the same promises.

However, the written contract disclaimed all warranties, express and implied. AND BOTH PARTIES SIGNED THIS CONTRACT. It implies that the buyer has read through the contract and has agreed with what is written in the contract. Thus, they can't file a suit against BB for breaching an express warranty since the written and signed contract has already disclaimed all warranties.

nformation for firm ABC: Inventory at the end of April, 2008: 200 units Expected demand during April, 2008: 50 units Production
OverLord2011 [107]

Answer:

Inventory at the end of march 2008 = 150 units

Explanation:

The closing inventory at the end of a particular period will be opening inventory at the beginning of the following period.

Note that the inventory at the end of March 2008 will be the opening inventory at the beginning of April 2008.

The production budgeted for a particular period is the expected units to be produced after adjusting the sales budget figures for opening and closing inventories.

Production = Sales volume + closing inventory - opening inventory

100 = 50 + 200 - X

X = 50 + 200 -100

X = 150 units

Inventory at the end of march 2008 = 150 units
