To estimate the percent of red marbles in a large bag of marbles, margo will use the following sampling method. She will randoml

y select a marble, record its color, put it back into the bag, shake the bag to thoroughly mix the marbles, and then repeat those steps. She will perform the procedure many times. What type of sampling method is margo using?.

It is found that Margo will be using random sampling.

• Random sampling in statistics is a part of the sampling technique in which each sample has an equal probability of being chosen. In other words, a sample chosen randomly is an unbiased representation of the total population.

Sample strategies may be classified as :

1) Convenient : The sample which is drawn from a conveniently available pool.

2) Random : When all options are into a hat and draw some of team

3) Systematic : Every kth element

4) Cluster : When we divide population into groups called clusters, and each element os cluster is surveyed.

5) Stratified : In stratified also divides the population into groups, However only some of the elements of the group are surveyed.

According to the question

Marbles are taken from the bag, and after they are taken they are again placed back in the bag so it depicts Random Sampling.

If 1 cm represents 30 km on a map and colorado is shown by a 20cm by 15 cm rectangle on the map, what is the approximate actual
zubka84 [21]

Answer:

20*30km = 600km

15*30km = 450km

600km * 450km = 270000 km^2

Step-by-step explanation:

assuming 1cm --- 30km causes that 2cm --- 60km, 3cm --- 90km, 4cm --- 120km etc. Notice that number of km's is 30 times greater than the number of cm's on a map

using this logic, you calculate both real dimensions of Colorado by multiplying 20*30 = 600 km and 15*30 = 450km

Then we use a formula of an area of a rectangle A=a\cdot b assuming a=600km, \ b=450km and get A=600\cdot 450=270000km^2 which is an actual area of Colorado

Solve for x use the completing the square method x^2+6x=5
Mrac [35]

Answer:

x_{1} =-3 +\sqrt{14} \\\\x_{2} =-3 -\sqrt{14}

Step-by-step explanation:

x^{2}+6x-5=0

we divide the coefficient of the X by half :

in this case: 6/2 = 3 , then we do the following

The result obtained is raised to square power:  3^2=9

we sum and subtract by 9 to maintain the balance of the equation:

x^{2}+6x+9-9-5=0

we have:

(x+3)^{2}-9-5=0

(x+3)^{2} = 14

lets apply square root on both sides of the equation:

\sqrt{(x+3)^{2}}=\sqrt{14}

we know:

\sqrt{a^{2}} = abs(a)

so we have:

abs(x+3)=\sqrt{14}

from where two solutions are obtained

x_{1} + 3 =\sqrt{14} \\\\x_{2} + 3 =-\sqrt{14}

finally we have:

x_{1} =-3 +\sqrt{14} \\\\x_{2} =-3 -\sqrt{14}

How many bowls of cereal did he eat pls and thx
miv72 [106K]

36 bowls - since with one gallon he can eat 12 bowls (as demonstrated by 1/12), you multiply 12 by 3 to get 36 bowls.
