The flu shot is designed to trigger a response from the immune system and is a form of "recombinant vaccination"

What is Baculovirus?

Recombinant technology external symbol is a third method of producing flu vaccinations that was authorized for sale in the United States in 2013. In order to generate recombinant flu vaccines, a candidate vaccine virus (CVV) sample is not necessary. Recombinant vaccinations, on the other hand, are produced synthetically. The gene that encodes the genetic instructions for producing the surface protein known as hemagglutinin (HA) present on influenza viruses is the first gene that flu researchers need in order to create a recombinant vaccine. A flu virus's HA is an antigen, which is a component that causes the immune system to produce antibodies that specifically target the virus. Then, a baculovirus, an invertebrate-infecting virus, is coupled with this gene for producing flu virus HA antigen. As a result, a "recombinant" baculovirus is produced.

Ronch [10]

Answer:

$27,000

Explanation:

The computation of the amount of factory maintenance department costs that would be allocated to the fabrication department is shown below:

= Fabrication square foot occupied ÷ Total square foot occupied × factory overhead cost of factory maintenance department

= 20,000 ÷ 50,000 × $67,500

= $27,000

The overhead cost of factory maintenance department is allocated on square foot occupied and the same is considered

The total square foot occupied is

= 20,000 + 30,000

= 50,000

Tom buys a shirt for $22.00 plus 7% sales tax. His cousin buys a shirt for $18.00 plus 4% sales tax.How much do Tom and his cous
astra-53 [7]

Answer:

Tom paid $23.54 while his cousin spent $18.72. Tom spent more on tax $.082 more than his cousin.

Explanation:

Tom

Cost of shirt = $22

Sales tax = 7%

Total amount paid = 22 + (7% × 22)

                               = 22 + 1.54

                               = $23.54

Tom's cousin

Cost of shirt = $18

Sales tax = 4%

Total amount paid = 18 + (4% × 18)

                               = 18 + 0.72

                               = $18.72

Tom spent more on tax as he spent $1.54 as against his cousin's $0.72.

"Stephanie would like to purchase a bond that has a par value of $1,000, pays $100 at the end of each year in coupon payments, a
Rzqust [24]

Answer:

The price of the bonds = $951.963

Explanation:

The value of the bond is the present value (PV) of the future cash receipts expected from the bond. The value is equal to present values of interest payment plus the redemption value (RV) discounted at the yield rate

Value of Bond = PV of interest + PV of RV

The PV of interest payment

A ×(1- (1+r)^(-n))/r

A- interest payment, r- interest rate, n- number of years

Interest payment  = 100

PV = 100× (1- 1.12^(-3))/0.12= 240.183

PV of redemption value

PV = RV× (1+r)^(-n)

RV- Redemption value - 1,000, r- interest rate, number of years, number of years- 3

PV = 1000× 1.12^(-3) = 711.7802

The value of bond = 240.18 + 711.78= 951.963

The price of the bonds = $951.963
