English

The rhetoric that the character primarily uses to try to persuade his audience is option(c) i.e, Pathos.

When he says, "You all did love him once, not without cause: What cause withholds you then, to weep for him?" in Act 3 Scene 2, Marc Antony employs pathos. (Lines 102-103). This is what Marc Antony says to the populace to remind them that while they once adored Caesar, they no longer even mourn him.

Pathos plays on the audience's emotions and brings out feelings that they already have. Pathos is a literary, cinematic, and other narrative art technique that is most frequently used in rhetoric. Readers may feel anything, from sadness to rage, when pathos is used. These appeals are very successful at engaging the audience and adding a sympathetic and personal touch to the message.

Why do you think Shakespeare wanted to tell his audience the story of Julius Caesar?
Mkey [24]

Answer:

One of the reasons was to show that history repeats itself. The queen of England had no heirs and neither did Julius Caesar. Shakespeare was trying to say that power can make people act differently than they usually would.  Some scholars believe he wrote the play partially to express his worry that Queen Elizabeth I's impending death could bring about civil war to their country.

How and why was dr kings use of non violence so effective in creating lasting social change?
NeX [460]
What made dr kings use of non violence so effective was because of all the media attention the civil rights movement was receiving. It was through such media outlets like television, newspaper and radio that king demonstrated to America and the whole world that the black community wasn't going to bend their knees to white oppression, and that it was in fact the black community that held the moral high ground. This helped create a culture of non violent protest throughout the nation that would continue well beyond the passing of the civil rights act and into present day.
