A small change in a firm's targeted markets or strategic direction usually has little impact on the value chain. The assertion is untrue.

What Is a Value Chain?

A value chain is a business model that outlines all the steps involved in producing a good or service. A value chain for businesses that manufacture things includes all of the processes involved in taking a product from conception to distribution, as well as everything that happens in between, such as sourcing raw materials, performing manufacturing tasks, and engaging in marketing activities.

A company conducts a value-chain analysis by reviewing the particular procedures involved in each step of its business. A value-chain analysis' goal is to boost production efficiency so that a business can provide the most value for the least amount of money.

The classical dichotomy is useful for analyzing the economy because in the long run nominal variables are heavily influenced by
Contact [7]

Answer:

The answer is: True

Explanation:

First of all, the classical dichotomy in economics assumes that real variables of the economy such as output of goods and services and real interest rates are not influenced by what happens to their nominal counterparts, such as the monetary value of output and nominal interest rate.  It doesn´t consider inflation or the nominal supply, in other words money supply is neutral in the economy (because its value is adjusted to inflation).

The real problem with this theory, at least in the short run, is that in real life money supply, interest rates and inflation do affect the GDP of a country. When the money supply of an economy is increased then aggregate demand also increases. More money equals more demand. That happens because the prices of goods and services doesn´t adjust as fast as a change in the money supply. Also this theory doesn´t consider the monetary circuit theory about money being "created" by the banking system every time a loan is made.

Whitepunk [10]

Answer with Explanation:

Tangible assets fall under the scope of International Accounting Standard IAS-36 Property, Plant and Equipment which says that assets that qualify following conditions, must be capitalized:

  • Assets that have life expectancy of more than a year.
  • Benefits of the Assets are controlled by the entity that will flow towards the company.

Now here, the life expectancy of laboratory equipment is unknown and also that we don't know if the asset can be resold in the market or not. This means, if the asset has life expectancy is no more than a year and that the future benefits will flow towards the company then it must be capitalized otherwise it must be expensed out as per the guidelines of International Accounting Standard IAS-38 Intangible Assets, which says that the research cost prior to the development expenditure must be expensed out.

The other two costs are revenue expenditure and must be expensed out under the name research and development cost as per the guidelines of IAS-38.

Marina86 [1]

Answer:

The correct answer is letter "A": The amount that would be paid today to receive a single amount at a specified date in the future.

Explanation:

The present value (PV) of a single sum tells us how much a future sum of money is worth today given a specified rate of return. This is an important financial concept based on the principle that money received in a specific time in the future is not worth as much as an equal sum received today.
