A force of 182.6 lb should be applied to lift 700 lb object.

How to calculate the force?

Let the force required to lift be F

Total length = 29 in.

Distance of short end from pivot = in.

Distance from long end = 29-6 = 23 in.

Now Equating moments

F × 23 = 700x6

23F = 4200

F = 4200/23

= 182.6 lb

A force of 182.6 lb should be applied to lift 700 lb object.

Cody is designing a pattern for a wood floor the length of the pieces of wood are 1 1/2 inches 1 13/16 inches and 2 1/8 inches w
erastovalidia [21]

Well, you only listed three pieces so far. But I can already see a
pattern emerging from those three.

Of course, the next piece might return to 1-1/2 inches. I mean,
the pattern can't just keep on going and increasing forever or
Cody would eventually wind up with pieces that are a mile long.
It must eventually return to 1-1/2 inches and start over from there.

From the first piece to the second one, and from the second one
to the third one, the increase is 5/16 inch both times. So if the
pattern is more than three pieces long before it starts over from
1-1/2, then the next piece is

             (2-1/8 + 5/16) = (2-2/16 + 5/16) = 2-7/16 inches .

In this exercise, we are conducting many hypothesis tests to test a claim. Assume that the null hypothesis is true. If 400 tests
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

Since the null hypothesis is true, finding the significance is a type I error.

The probability of the year I error = level of significance = 0.05.

so, the number of tests that will be incorrectly found significant is computed as follow: 0.05 * 100 = 5

Therefore, 5 tests will be incorrectly found significant given that the null hypothesis is true.

I need help that is simple enough explnation
velikii [3]

Answer:

7 in both boxes

Step-by-step explanation:

In the picture, it shows

4 (x - 3) = 20

and then it shows

4 (x) - 4 (3) = 20

so practically you separate the x and 3 and put them in parentheses and then put a 4 next to both of them.

It should be the same as your question.

7 x (8 - 3)

and then separate 8 and 3 and put a 7 next to both of them.

( 7 x 8) - ( 7 x 3)

Hope it helps and have a great day! =D
