History

The effects of European colonization on East Africa versus Central and South Africa were such that:

Southern and Central Africa:

 • Slavery was done on a larger scale.
 • South and Central Africans were treated harshly.
 • Europeans exploited resources

East Africa:

 • Trade gave them access to new food crops, textiles and metal
 • Slave trade was reduced compared to other parts of Africa.

How did colonization differ in East Africa versus Central and South Africa?

Colonization in Eastern Africa was not as bad as in the Central and Southern parts as colonization brought trade which brought new crops and metal products. The slave trade was also not as much as other parts of Africa.

Central and Southern Africa on the other hand, faced a lot of slavery from the Portuguese in Angola and the Belgians in the Congo. This led to the impoverishment of Africans while their wealth was exploited heavily and in places like South Africa, this continued well into the 20th century.

Columbus was surprised the Indigenous people of the Bahamas and Hispaniola were remarkably different in their understanding of
Dimas [21]

Answer:

Wealth, gold, property and women.

Explanation:

The discovery of America in 1492 by Christopher Columbus under the Spanish flag was a cultural shock for both indigenous and Europeans. Ultimately, they were two totally different cultures and idiosyncracies, based on totally dissimilar concepts, religions and customs and on conceptions of nature, life, society and politics that had no points of connection between them.

Thus, Columbus was greatly surprised to see that the natives wore pendants of precious stones and metals such as gold as if they were simple ornaments, downplaying the wealth they implied for Europeans. Furthermore, the property system itself was different and was based on collective property, rather than the private individual property of Europeans. Even the role of women in native societies was shocking for Europeans, since they had an egalitarian role that was very different from Europe, where women were socially relegated behind men.

I need a paragraph of (global warming)
madam [21]

Answer:

Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth’s climate system observed since the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900) due to human activities, primarily fossil fuel burning, which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in Earth’s atmosphere. The term is frequently used interchangeably with the term climate change, though the latter refers to both human- and naturally produced warming and the effects it has on our planet. It is most commonly measured as the average increase in Earth’s global surface temperature.

HERE ARE SOME EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING

More frequent and severe weather. Higher temperatures are worsening many types of disasters, including storms, heat waves, floods, and droughts

Higher death rates

Dirtier air

Higher wildlife extinction rates.

More acidic oceans

Higher sea levels
