It turns out that trying to raise the Titanic would be pointless, much like trying to rearrange the deck chairs on the sinking ship. Resurrecting artifacts from terrible periods of history can occasionally seem as fantastical as making pigs fly. The effort is simply not worthwhile.

The Titanic was built over the course of just over two years and cost over one hundred million dollars in today's dollars. It was the largest transportable man-made item of its time. Along with her sister ship Olympic, the Titanic was built in the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast, although there were difficulties throughout construction. The Titanic's keel was put down and construction started on that day, March 31, 1909.
