By checking all the sets of the real field, the number √50 is an irrational number.

What real set does a number belong to?

In this problem we know that an real element is √50. Real numbers are a set formed by the following subsets:

 1. Natural numbers - Its set is formed by the following elements: {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ...}.
 2. Integers - Its set is product of the union of all the natural numbers, the number 0 and the additive inverses of the natural numbers.
 3. Rational numbers - It is the product of elements of the form m / n, where m, n are integers and n is distinct from 0. These elements may be integers or not.
 4. Irrational numbers - Its elements are not rational.

Square roots are examples of irrational numbers. Thus, by checking all the sets of the real field, the number √50 is an irrational number.

A farm stand sold 12 ears of corn for 4$ .the farm stand sold 180 ears of corn at the same rate
oksano4ka [1.4K]
To answer this first we set up a proportion and then solve. Lets do it:-

\frac{4}{12}= \frac{x}{80}

Cross Multiply:-

80 · 4 = 320

Divide:-

420 ÷ 12 = 60

So, 180 ears of corn are for $60.

Please help
wahat is the slope of the line !?!?
shepuryov [24]
There are two methods
1. Find any two points
(1,2) and (2,4)
(4-2)/(2-1) = 2/1 = 2

2. When x = 1, y = 2
The unit rate goes up by 2

The slope is 2 :)

Find the ordered triple to represent u in u=3v-2/3w +2z if v=(4,-3,5) w=(2,6,-1) and z=(3,0,4)
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

u=(14/3 ,-13,23/3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

u=3v-2/3 w+2z

And

v=(4,-3,5)

w=(2,6,-1)

z=(3,0,4)

Putting the values of v,w and z

u=3(4,-3,5)-2/3 (2,6,-1)+2(3,0,4)

u=(12,-9,15)-(4/3,12/3,-2/3)+(6,0,8)

=(12,-9,15)-(4/3,4,-2/3)+(6,0,8)

We will perform the addition first..

=(12,-9,15)-(4/3+6 ,4+0,-2/3+8)

= (12,-9,15)-(22/3,4,22/3)

Subtraction will give us:

=(12-22/3 ,-9-4 ,15-22/3)

=(14/3 ,-13,23/3)
