A social cognition means the way people select, interpret, remember & use social information to make judgments and decisions about themselves and others.

<h3>What is a social cognition?</h3>

It refers to the way in which an individuals process, remember, and use information in social contexts to explain and predict how people behave

The two aspects of social cognition includes the Theory of Mind and Emotion Understanding. The Theory of Mind is concerns the attribution of mental states such as beliefs, desires, intentions, etc. to oneself and others, while the Emotion Understanding is the component of social cognition and emotional competence which is concerns how individuals understand, predict, and explain their own and others’ emotions.
