Progesterone's Neuro-modulatory properties were examined in a model extrahypothalamic CNS area's intact neuronal circuit. Before, during, and after either a systemic injection, at physiologic dosages, or local application of the steroid, the spontaneous discharge and responses of individual cerebellar Purkinje neurons to GABA and glutamate were observed. Progesterone significantly improved Purkinje cells' inhibitory responses to GABA by either method of delivery, and also inhibited glutamate excitement within 3–10 minutes after the steroid. These outcomes are in line with the steroid's anxiolytic effects.

What is Glutamate ?

The most common excitatory neurotransmitter secreted by brain nerve cells is glutamate. It is important for memory and learning. Glutamate must be present in the appropriate amounts in the right locations at the right times for your brain to work effectively.

Glutamate has more chances to continue sending messages successfully and quickly between nerve cells by connecting with four separate receptors. This quick signaling and information processing is a crucial component of memory and learning.

Three species of lizard, labeled A, B, and C, are being studied using molecular analysis by two research colleagues in different
zaharov [31]

Answer:

The correct option is B

Explanation:

The biomolecule used in comparing lizards A and B is the mitochondrial DNA while that used to compare the same lizard B to another lizard C is the ribosomal RNA (rRNA). They should have compared the same biomolecules throughout by extracting the mitochondrial DNA of the three lizards and then proceed to sequence the whole genome of the lizards. After which they can now do a Global alignment (comparison) of the three sequences together. This procedure would have given them a more accurate information on there identity and similarity.

Cells that are terminally differentiated:_________
Tom [10]

Answer:

b. can no longer undergo cell division.

Explanation:

Terminally differentiated cells are those cells completely specialized in their functions that have lost their ability to proliferate. They are cells that have a unique, very specific, function, whereas undifferentiated cells do not have specialized functions that serve to replace old and dead cells. Examples of terminally differentiated cells include skin cells derived from epithelial stem cells, red blood cells and white blood cells generated from hematopoietic stem cells, etc.

The enzyme which cuts down the viral dna with no harm to bacterial chromosme is
nalin [4]
Bacteria and restriction enzymes

,use enzymes to cut (and thereby destroy) foreign DNA (such as viral DNA), which would restrict the growth of the virus; own DNA is protected in some way (often by addition of methyl group CH3) to the sequence recognized by enzyme (thus preventing enzyme from binding there)
