In 8 years Damon will be 16 year's old.

We have Nora who 3 time as old as Damon and in 8 years she will be only 2 time as old as Damon.

We have to determine how old will Damon be in 8 years.

If your present age is x and your sister is 4 years elder than you. Than what will be her age after 5 years from now.

Your present age = x.

Hence, your sister's present age = x + 4.

After five years, your age = x + 5.

Hence, your sister's age will be = x + 9.

According to question, we have -

Assume that the present age of Damon is x.

Then, Nora's age will be = y = 3x.

After 8 years -

Damon's age = x + 8

Nora's age = 3x + 8

Therefore -

3x + 8 = 2(x + 8)

3x + 8 = 2x + 16

x = 8

Hence, in 8 years Damon will be = 8 + 8 = 16 year's old.

A baker has 4 3/4 pounds of cookie dough. He uses 1/16 pound of dough for each cookie. How many cookies can he make? Simplify th
S_A_V [24]

This shows that 76 cookies will be made with the total pounds of cookies

Ratio and proportion

Fractions are written as a ratio of two integers. Given the following parameters

Total pounds of cookies made = 4 3/4 pounds

Total pounds of cookies made = 19/4 pounds

If he uses 1/16 pound of dough for each cookie, the total amount of cookies made is given;

Number of cookies = 19/4 ÷ 1/16

Number of cookies = 19/4 * 16/1

Number of cookies = 19 * 4

Number of cookies = 76

This shows that 76 cookies will be made with the total pounds of cookies

If the diagonal path is 750 feet long and the width of the park is 450 feet, what is the length, in the feet, of the park?
torisob [31]

Answer:

The length is 600 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

We can solve this by applying the Pythagorean theorem

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

The hypotenuse (diagonal path) is 750

750 represents c, 750^2 is 562500

We also know the width (one side of the triangle)

450 can represent a, 450^2 is 202500

202500 + b^2= 562500

We can subtract 202500 on both sides to isolate the b^2

b^2= 360000

Square root both sides of the equation

B= 600

The length is 600 ft
