Closed-head drums have a permanently attached lid with one or more small openings. These small openings are called Bungs.

Close-headed drums consist of a closed head, i.e. there does not exist a removable lid on either end.

Close-headed drums are hence entirely sealed, apart from one or two selected openings which are utilized for pouring liquids in or out. These small openings are individually sealed with a bung or a matching, secure stopper.

Steel drums usually contain two openings or Bungs with flanges, 2″ and 3/4″ in diameter on the topside of the container (or a lid for open-head drums).

You start off with 100 E. coli cells known to divide every 20 minutes. Based on this information and using formulas for exponent
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

21 minutes or 0.35 hours

Explanation:

The formula for exponential population growth is

A = A_0* e^{kt}\\

where

A_0 = initial population of E.coli i.e 100

k is the rate of population growth i.e 2 as the population doubles

t is the time period i.e 20 minutes

Substituting the given values in above equation, we get -

A = 100 * e^{2 * \frac{20}{60} }\\\\A = 195

Generation time

G = \frac{t}{3.3 * log \frac{194}{100} } \\G = \frac{t}{0.949} \\G= 21 minutes

or 0.35 hours

Protein composes 10-30% of cell mass and is the basic structural material of the body. However, not all proteins are constructio
Andreas93 [3]

Answer:

Amino acids

Explanation:

Like a house, every molecule is formed of units (blocks) that determine their structure and function. Proteins have a diverse functions in the body and are very important in multiple biological processes.  Proteins are molecules called polymers (molecules formed by monomers), the simplest units of proteins are the amino acids (building blocks). The amino acids are bind together by peptide bonds and when the chain of amino acids is less than 30 is called peptide and more than 30 is called protein. Every amino acid has a special structure and the type and number of aminoacids determinate the structure and function of the protein.
