Answer:

2.3 repeating

Explanation:

Convert root 5 to a decimal: 2.2

Convert root 6 to a decimal: 2.4

π = 3.14

Therefore, pi wouldn't work.

5/2 = 2.5

Therefore, 5/2 wouldn't work.

2.1 wouldn't work.

2.3 repeating is the only one between 2.2 (root 5) and 2.4 (root 6), so 2.3 repeating would be your answer.

Have a lovely rest of your day! :)

Which of the following correctly explains the evidence (as well as the person responsible for the discovery) that stress leads t
borishaifa [10]

Answer:

The correction option is General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS) which was promulgated by Hans Selye, MD, Ph.D.

Explanation:

According to Hans, there are 4 stages of stress namely:

   1. Alarm Reaction

Upon being stimulated by stressors, the body responds with a "fight-or-flight" response and actuates the sympathetic nervous system as the body's resources are mobilized to meet the threat or danger.

    2. Resistance

The body fights and compensates while the rest and the digestive system attempt to restore certain body systems to healthy levels as the body focuses energy toward the stressor and stays on defense.

  3. Exhaustion

If the stressor or stressors persist beyond the capability of the body, the resources become fatigued and the body becomes prone to morbidity and mortality.

Cheers!

siniylev [52]

Explanation:

A sociologist might look at the amount of fresh fruits and vegetables available in a neighborhood trying to understand social issues that affect health. If you can find and afford to live in a neighborhood where you can shop for fresh fruits and vegetables more often, near home, you may be more likely to consume those foods more regularly.

What factors drew an increasing number of Americans into the West? How did the settlement and development of these lands affect
loris [4]

Answer

Americans believed that the West was divinely enjoined to be part of the United States.

Explanation:

Migration was an important factor in the development of America. The West attracted many peoples. Future generations looked at the borders of their settlements in the western crisis zones. A huge amount of land sold very cheaply or given away free of charge made it easier to set up a farm without worrying about initial debt.

So the unsuccessful and unemployed citizens takes this to escape from bad times and headed west, where there was cheap land, and even set up homesteads. Gold and other precious metals were discovered and that led some people there to gain wealth without hard work. The reservation system has been designed so that Native Americans stay away from land that European Americans would like to settle.

The eastern settlement was replaced by the Great Plain and the loss of the bison and growth affected in the number of white settlements. The arrival of Europeans on the continent affected the Midwest. But before that the American Indians were already started to occupy those western lands.
