The value of third consecutive odd is 23

• In Mathematics, algebra is a branch which only deals with symbols and the rule for the manipulation of these symbols. Algebra is divided into different sub branches such as advanced algebra, linear algebra, elementary algebra, abstract algebra etc.

• The basics of algebra contains numbers, variables, constants, expressions and equations. The basic four operations of algebra are addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.

Let the first consecutive odd integer be x

Second consecutive integer = x+2

Third consecutive integer = x+4

We are given that

First + third = 5(Second) – 63

x + x + 4 = 5 (x+2) -63

2x + 4 = 5x +10 -63

-3x = -57

3x = 57

x = 19

First Consecutive odd = 19

Second Consecutive odd = 21

Third Consecutive odd = 23

Write an equation for the line described. Give the answer in standard form. through (2,6), m= -5
LiRa [457]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

 5x +y = 16

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a point and slope, it often works well to start with the point-slope form of the equation for a line:

 y -k = m(x -h) . . . . . . . . line with slope m through point (h, k)

Your point and slope make this ...

 y -6 = -5(x -2)

 y -6 = -5x +10 . . . . . . eliminate parentheses

 5x +y = 16 . . . . . . . . . add 5x+6 to both sides; your standard form equation

Solve for each unknown
ehidna [41]
6=2+u then u = 6 - 2 = 4
(-16)=(-9)-w then w = 16 - 9 = 7
8=r+4 then r = 8 - 4 = 4
v+(-3)=(-10) then v = -10 + 3 = -7
9=j+7 then j = 9-7 = 2
(-14)=r-6 then r = -14 +6 = -8
(-2)-k=4 then k = -2 -4 = -6
(-10)=n-8 then n = -10 + 8 = -2
(-9)=s+(-4) then s = -9 + 4 = -5
(-4)-s=0 then s = -4

Convert to scientific notation: 0.0509.
fomenos

Answer:

5.09 × 10^-2

Step-by-step explanation:

You have to take the number go to the decimal and move it until you get to the first number and in this case, it is 5 put the decimal there. To write it you have to count the number of times you moved the decimal. when doing this it will always be a number times 10^ the number you moved the decimal.

Please solve the right triangle below. Round the decimals to the nearest tenth.
aniked [119]

Find AB using Pythagorean Theorem,

AB=\sqrt{12^2+9^2}=15.

A=\tan^{-1}(12/9)=53.1^{\circ}.

B=\tan^{-1}(9/12)=36.9^{\circ}.

Hope this helps.
