Dual roles of the nuclear cap-binding complex and SERRATE in pre-mRNA splicing and microRNA processing in Arabidopsis thaliana.

The processing of Arabidopsis thaliana microRNAs (miRNAs) from longer primary transcripts (pri-miRNAs) requires the activity of several proteins, including DICER-LIKE1 (DCL1), the double-stranded RNA-binding protein HYPONASTIC LEAVES1 (HYL1), and the zinc finger protein SERRATE (SE).

Morphological appearance of weak SE mutants is reminiscent of plants with mutations in ABH1/CBP80 and CBP20, which encode the two subunits of the nuclear cap-binding complex.

The cap-binding complex is necessary for proper processing of pri-miRNAs. Inactivation of either ABH1/CBP80 or CBP20 results in decreased levels of mature miRNAs accompanied by apparent stabilization of pri-miRNAs.

Marat540 [252]

Answer:

11. Why do scientists assume that experimental results can be reproduced? A key assumption in science is that nature behaves in a consistent manner.

12. What did Anton van Leeuwenhoek discover? He discovered a world of tiny moving objects, which he called "animalcules," in rainwater, pond water, and dust.

13. What did John Needham conclude from his test of Redi’s findings? He concluded that the little animals in a bottle of broth could only have come from the juice of the broth.

14. What did Spallanzani do to improve upon Redi’s and Needham’s work? He boiled two containers of broth, assuming that the boiling would kill any microorganisms that were present.

15. How did Pasteur settle the spontaneous generation argument? He designed a special flask to show that as long as broth was protected from microorganisms, it remained free of living things.

What causes a sublunar tide?
makkiz [27]

The oppositional gravitational force of the moon pulls the water on the side furthest from itself. Thus, option "D" is correct.

How the moon and, to some degree, the sun cause tides on the earth?

The moon and sun exert a gravitational pull on the earth.

The moon pulls strongest on the ocean water on the same side, lesser on the solid earth, and the least on ocean water on the opposite side of the earth.

The pull creates tidal bulges that are the earth’s high tides. Low tides occur at the halfway point between the bulges.

Thus, option "D" is correct.

Catecholamines mediate their effects throughI. α-adrenoreceptors.II. β-adrenoreceptors. III. receptor tyrosine kinases.IV. monom
Step2247 [10]

Answer is I and II

Explanation:

 • Catecholamines are hormones made by your adrenal organs, which are situated on your kidneys.
 • Models incorporate dopamine; norepinephrine; and epinephrine (this used to be called adrenalin or adrenaline).
 • Our adrenal organs send catecholamines into our blood when you're genuinely or sincerely focused.
 • They cause you to inhale quicker, raise your pulse, and send more blood to significant organs, similar to your cerebrum, heart, and kidneys.
