Their population will decline.

What are siamangs?

Siamangs are a type of gibbon. They are found in certain parts of the world which include Indonesia, Thailand, etc.

The main diets of siamangs are fruits and leaves. Occasionally, they feed on insects and small invertebrates.

Since their diet is largely fruit-based, if the rainforests that these animals live in produce less fruit, they will have to adjust in order to specialize in other foods or risk famine.

Whatever the case may be, a decline in fruit production by the forest will initially affect the population of the animal.

Nataliya [291]
Using the DNA to find out where the ivory comes from, Dr Wasser is able to work with law enforcement to know where to focus their protection measures. Having law enforcement in concentrated area that have been known to be poached can hopefully help prevent illegal poaching. Hope this helped :)
