Is there a soccer foundation in your region? For you, what are the advantages of playing soccer? Are there rules to follow?
Alex17521 [72]
Yes, there is a soccer foundation in Los Angles, its called the Kids off the street. Soccer is an advantage for me because I'm good at dribbling, kicking, and scoring the ball. I also love soccer because I love making new friends. It's also good for my health. Some basic rules are that there are two teams, all players must use their feet head or chest to play the ball, and only the goalkeeper is allowed to use their hands, and only within their designated goal area. Soccer can be entertaining and educational.

I hope this helps you.

In three to five sentences, identify and explain the effect of the point of view in this passage
Trava [24]
The author uses second-person point of view in this text by addressing the reader directly. The consequences listed for the felony of theft of livestock seem much more severe when readers consider they might happen to them. By speaking to the reader as a distinct individual, the author captures the attention of a reader who in other circumstances might not take the punishment of a crime in Elizabethan England as seriously.

Which sentence correctly uses a predicate pronoun as a subject complement? A The last arrivals were Joe and I. B This year's soc
Andrei [34K]

A The last arrivals were Joe and I.

I is the predicate pronoun. The predicate pronoun should also be able to be used as the Subject of the sentence if it was to be flipped at the linking verb. This sentence could also be written: Joe and I were the last arrivals. The subject complement renames the subject, so generally, the sentence should be able to be flipped like this. Option B has a pronoun but you can't flip the sentence. Lana and me were this year's soccer champions - wrong! This doesn't work which actually means the sentence is grammatically incorrect. In option C, I is a direct object. It receives the action of touched by the tribute. In option D, my is a possessive adjective/pronoun - not a predicate pronoun.
