By inflating the numbers in order to meet the short-term goals Sadie will be dishonest to both the corporation and the people who are the external investors of the company.

Short-term goals are those goals that the corporation has planned to meet in a short time. Usually, when the short-term goals are not met it is very difficult to meet the long-term organizational goals of the corporation. Even the short-term goals are provided to the managers individually to perform with their team. So in this case Sadie is trying to improve his reputation in the company by showing that he has met his goals when he has not.

Not only the insiders of the company but many outside investors are there for the corporation. These investors include shareholders, debenture holders, banks, etc. These people come to know the financial position of the company only by reading these numbers the company projects. So by asking Alex to inflate the numbers Sadie is being dishonest to a lot of people.

Page 149 5.1 End of Chapter Problems Assume that the managers of the Fort Winston Hospital are setting the price on a new outpat
bixtya [17]

Answer:

Break even = $50 per visit

$100,000 profit = $60 per visit

Explanation:

In order to break even, the total revenue of the expected 10,000 visits must equal the costs necessary to perform them. The cost per visit is the only variable cost with the others being fixed costs:

10,000*P = 10,000*5 + 50,000+500,000\\P-5 = \frac{550,000}{10,000}\\P=\$50

In order to break even, the hospital must charge $50 per visit.

In order to earn an annual profit of 100,000, That profit must be spread out over the 10,000 visits, the profit required per visit is:

P_v = \frac{100,000}{10,000}\\P_v = \$10

Since the break even price is $50, the hospital must charge $60 to earn an annual profit of $100,000.

  • The price fluctuates in line with the performance of the stock market.

<h3>What is Demand?</h3>

Generally, asking for something urgently and vehemently, as though by right.

In conclusion, In economics, strong demand and low supply lead to higher prices, whereas the reverse is true when the supply is high and the demand is low. Equilibrium prices exist for every item.

This approach is used by online merchants since each customer demands a product with varying levels of intensity. Because their need for the goods is more pressing than others, some customers are willing to pay more. Discounts, buy one, get one free, and limited-time offers allow them to influence customer demand.
