The factors that helped to limit the loss of life in Alaska 1964 earthquake were:

Above-average temperatures helped to prevent cold-related deaths as heating systems were being repaired.

The tsunami struck when the tides were low.

Relatively few people lived in the area at that time of year.

Alaska is not a heavily populated region. The earthquake that happened on March 27, 1964, was the second-biggest earthquake ever recorded in the planet and the greatest in US history (magnitude 9.2 on the Richter scale). Numerous landslides and avalanches were caused by the four-minute earthquake. There was significant structural damage in many of Alaska's main cities.

What are two ways international alliances helped the colonists win the American Revolution? The French gave the colonists money
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

  • The French gave the colonists money and supplies in secret.
  • The Spanish closed the Port of New Orleans to the British

Explanation:

The French helped in the Revolutionary war in no small way by providing the American colonists with money and supplies. They did this in secret at first and then became more public about it such that they even sent soldiers to fight alongside the Colonists.

The Spanish also helped by closing off the port of New Orleans to the British and even using it to stage attacks against them. They did this because they were allied to France and therefore in effect, the Colonists as well.
