Patrick will be able to paint the home on his own after a ten-hour effort.

This is further explained below.

<h3>How much time will it take for Patrick to paint the house by himself?</h3>

Generally, the equation for time is  mathematically given as

1/(t+4)  +  1/(t+9)  = 1/t

Therefore

[1/(t+4)] (t+4)(t+9)(t) +  [1/(t+9)](t+4)(t+9)(t) =  (1/t)(t+4)(t+9)(t)

(t² + 9t)  + (t² + 4t) = t² + 13t + 36

Place the equation on the left side of the page and make it equal to 0. Use the additive inverse property as follows:

t² + t² - t² + 9t + 4t - 13t - 36 = 0

2t² - t² + 13t - 13t - 36 = 0

t² - 36 = 0

Calculate the product of the difference of two squares using the formula t2 - 36 = 0.

Both the total and the difference between the two terms constitute the factors.

(t + 6) (t - 6) = 0

t + 6 = 0

t = -6

t - 6 = 0

t = 6

Choose the positive value for time, t = 6 hours.

It will take 10 hours for Patrick to paint the house alone.

Patrick will be able to paint the home on his own after a ten-hour effort.

Abc is an isosceles and right triangle whose hypotenuse measures 8 inches. use the pythagorean theorem to determine the length o
geniusboy [140]
Because the triangle ABC is isosceles, the leg of the triangle has the same length. For example, the length of one leg is a, then the other leg is a too.

Input the numbers to pythagorean formula
a² + b² = c²
a² + a² = 8²
2a² = 64
a² = 64/2
a² = 32
a = √32
a = √16 × √2
a = 4√2

The length of each leg is 4√2 inches

lord [1]
According to the rule of similar polygons the ratio of corresponding sides of two polygons will be the same. So in this case the ratio of original length and shadow of a stick and ratio of length of flagpole and its shadow will be the same.

Length of Stick = 5 feet
Shadow of Stick = 8 feet
Shadow of flagpole = 32 feet
Length of flagpole = x = ?

Using rule of similar polygon we can write,

\frac{5}{8}= \frac{x}{32} \\ \\ \frac{5}{8}*32=x \\ \\ x=20

Therefore, the length of flagpole will be 20 feet.
