By directly impacting the brain stem respiratory regions, HYCODAN may cause dose-related respiratory depression (see OVERDOSE). Use of HYCODAN has been linked to deadly respiratory depression in kids under the age of six. A deadly respiratory depression has been linked to HYCODAN overdose in adults, adolescents, and children aged 6 and older.
Accidental overdose, bronchopneumonia, coma, cyanosis, mortality, neonatal death, dyspnea, pulmonary edema, respiratory arrest, and respiratory depression are a few post marketing events that can occur in children younger than 6 years old.
Accidental overdose, cardiorespiratory arrest, drug-related death, non-accidental overdose, and overdose are examples of post marketing occurrences seen in individuals older than 6 years old.
