The Benedictine Order believed that free time was the enemy of the soul, thus every waking hour was filled with labor, prayer, and meditation.

The Benedictine Order or Benedictines are a monastic religious order within the Catholic Church. They are organized based on the Rule of Saint Benedict. The Benedictines a confederation of autonomous monasteries, instead of being centrally organized.

Those inducted into the Order had to make solemn promises, including to be stable, uphold manners, and obey superiors.

They adhere to a strict routine called horarium which is to make sure that God-given time is not frittered away but used to serve God, and for prayers, labor, meditation and spiritual reading. Free time was considered an enemy of the soul.

azamat

D is the correct answer.

The British Army was the far superior force. The British Navy was the far superior force. Britain was also a manufacturing powerhouse.

But the British Army was fighting to preserve something while the Revolutionaries were fighting for their rights and to start something new.

This question is delightfully biased but it is true that the Americans, by and large, were more committed to the fight.
